Fairfax City Council approves budget

Fairfax City Council voted to approve its annual budget totally roughly $128 million, of which $116 million is dedicated to a general fund.
With its approval of the budget, the council set the real estate tax rate at 79 cents for every $100 of assessed property value, up from 72 cents for the current fiscal year. (fairfaxtimes.com)
