Fairfax County follows suit - Raises Taxes Rate for Fiscal 2009
Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008Yesterday, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors tentatively approved a $3.3 billion spending plan for fiscal 2009 that raised the property tax rate 3 cents, to 92 cents, per $100 of assessed value. Fairfax County Reserves option for Real Estate Tax Increase
Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors left the door open for a three cent increase in next year’s residential real estate tax March 10.
The Supervisors voted eight to two to advertise a real estate tax rate of 92 cents per $100 of assessed property. The current rate is 89 cents per $100 of assessed property.
